Sundarijal Bottle House

This bottle house is in Sundarijal, Kathmandu was established in 2004. The bottle house is located on the edge of Kathmandu valley which is also the starting point of Helambhu Trek. The place is peaceful and away from the crowded city environment. Bottle house is earthquake-resistant, build with wastage bottles of beer, wine, whisky and so on. The centre in Kathmandu has well furnished (Nepali Standards) 7 sleeping rooms Bottle House, one Kitchen / Dining room cum study room, one guest or office room, one extra room for the family who take care of the children in the orphanage and a combined toilet and bath rooms. The house is constructed in 5 ropani land (apprx 0.6286 acre) which is provided by one of the founder members on lease for 20 yrs starting from 2011.

This is the first bottle house which became home for first 5 children and now it is raising 46 children who are provided with food, home, school fees and other expenses. The organization has proudly raised 8 children who have passed grade 10 and are living on their own. The children are enrolled in Kundalinee School which has good educational and extra curriculum facilities. The Kundalini school is nearby children home which saves transport cost. The children home staffs also care about the education of children in school and so often visit school to ask about children’s individual development. The children ranged from age of 5 to 18 years are currently living in centre. The children living in centre are orphans or have weak financial background. The children get good food, moral behavior and good education with homily environment in centre.
